The plane which bisects the line joining, the points (4, –2, 3) and (2, 4, –1) at right angles also passes through the point :
Solution
Direction ratios of normal to plane are < 2, –6, 4 >
<br><br> Also plane passes through (3, 1, 1)
<br><br>$\therefore$ Equation of plane
<br><br/>2(x–3)–6(y–1)+4(z–1) = 0
<br><br>$\Rightarrow$ x – 3y + 2z = 2
<br><br>By checking all options we can see this equation passes through (4, 0, –1)
